My style is usually simple, classic and I don’t wear many colours. Though I made a vow (to myself) that I need to start wearing more striking colours. Mainly I wear beige, grey, black, navy blue or burgundy. Ok I have much better selection in my dress department (heavily influenced by having lived in a sunny country) but apart from that my wardrobe is quite monotonic. Interestingly, I constantly tell my husband that he should add more colours to HIS wardrobe (oh yes, advice? That I CAN do lol). To my surprise he agrees and even lets me do the shopping for him. Even though I have a suspicion that he just wants to avoid going to the stores himself (men….). But I don’t mind as I love buying things for him. So last thing I got him was a Hermes scarf.
The second I saw it in the shop I fell in love with it. It has a horseshoe print on both sides. One side is navy blue with red print and the other is other way round. The red colour is my idea of absolute perfection. I am not much into red but maybe if I can find more things of this particular shade, I will change my mind. So why I am telling you all this? Because I started to wear this Hermes scarf quite regularly myself (when my husband doesn’t need it). It just looks amazing and adds a splash of a colour to my outfits.
So maybe there is a hope for me and I will try to look for more colours like that I can add. So in case you also have a rather monotonic wardrobe, why don’t you try to buy one single piece of different accessory (The one that you would never do before) and see what it will do to your whole look?
On the pictures I was wearing Hobbs high rise black leggings, Ralph Lauren white shirt, Givenchy wide belt, black suede over the knee boots and THAT Hermes scarf.
