I am guilty of many things when it comes to fashion. One of them is wearing one thing the same way for the same occasion over and over again. So if you are like me in this, I hope you will be enjoying my new posts about wearing one item in different ways and for different occasions. For today’s post I chose this purple sweater and I will be styling it in three different ways. First let me tell you about the sweater. I just bought is recently and I can’t stop wearing it. It is fitted to the body with a bit of stretch to it. I particularly enjoy the puff sleeves as they make this sweater more elegant. You can wear it completely off the shoulder or just off one shoulder or slightly on your shoulders. It looks amazing both on the body or with something underneath. Now let’s see the styling.
How to style off the shoulder purple sweater for a date
For the first styling I chose tone in tone colours and it is an ideal look if you are having a date during the day. Be it lunch or coffee or just a stroll around town, you will find this easy to wear, comfortable and chic. This skirt is from Topshop and it is the skirt everyone now wears. I bought this one in winter but you can now get it white, apricot or green. I used Snidel belt of mustard colour to break those two shades of purple. Snidel is an Asian brand I just discovered in Singapore and even though you can’t find it in Europe or USA, you can shop online. I teamed it with Gianvito Rossi velvet pink pumps and patent leather Chanel Boy bag. If you can’t bear the idea of such high heels, try these slingbacks or if you want to be uber comfy, wear these chunky sneakers.
Wearing off the shoulder purple sweater in the office
For the office you need to be a little bit more modest and look professional. So I would personally not wear off the shoulder anything to the office. However if you wear a white shirt underneath, you create a whole new look while not sacrificing your chic style. I like the combination of Claudie Pierlot paper-bag waist trousers and high heels. Over the sweater I used also Snidel wide purple belt to give it a bit more interesting touch. But you can easily wear it without any extra belt as well. I teamed with Christian Louboutin simple black pumps and Chanel bag, but it will look great with any of these work bags as well. Over it you can just throw a simple wool coat and you are good to go.
Business dinner wearing off the shoulder purple sweater
My last styling can be used as a all the long, office to dinner outfit. I am wearing the purple sweater with beige palazzo trousers by Elisabetta Franchi and very thin belt. If you want to wear it for the office as well, just add a shirt underneath. both black or white would do and in the evening you just get rid of the shirt to create more relaxed outfit. I am wearing it with Maje double breasted blazer to give it bit more complete look. For the heel I chose Gianvito Rossi simple pointed beige suede pumps to keep the colour scheme simple. In order add a bit more feminine touch I added Chanel pearl necklace, but you can basically add any simple necklace you have at home and a purple headband. Few weeks ago I wrote here about the headband trend coming back and this lilac piece is actually from Amazon where I bought a set of headband in every colour.
