I made a massive wardrobe detox few weeks back and almost threw away this Stella McCartney shirt. The reason was that I specifically bought it when I was pregnant. I love the green detail that very gently emphasised my bump. But now, I thought I it is too big to wear it, I will get rid of it. Well that was, until my friend Anna put a new chic outfit together. When I saw it first, I wasn’t particularly impressed. I must admit, it just looked like one of those outfit when you have a laundry day (and nothing else to wear). When I put it on, I wasn’t still sure. It took me what it felt like eternity to stare at myself at the mirror while trying to decide if I like or not.
How to create chic outfit with boyfriend jeans
Anyways, after that I suddenly fell in love. It just all suddenly worked for me and I now love wearing it. It was the perfect simple and chic outfit you can wear when you are out of office. Not only I love these items separately, I fell in love with the style. It is like we have created my new “uniform”. Casual, effortless and chic outfit. And the rules are simple. Boyfriend jeans, silk lace top, oversized shirt. Add some belt to show off your waist and put on Raye heels to compensate for the boyfriend jeans (they can make you look shorter otherwise).
Bag: Chanel Boy, Shoes: Raye, Jeans: Liu:Jo, Top: Pinko, Shirt: Stella McCartney, Belt: Uterque, Sunglasses: Linda Farrow, Earrings: Chanel
In the upcoming winter months, I will swap sandals for ankle boots and add a chunky sweater. I can’t wait (not for the winter, but to wear this outfit – just to be clear). My Chanel handbag was a natural choice as it gives this whole chic outfit even more elegant touch.
