All you need to know about Ultralift treatment

Is Ultralift treatment worth it review

Dr Sebagh Clinic

Last week I was invited by Dr Sebagh to try their signature Ultralift facial treatment. I never had Ultralift done but was recently researching as something to try in order to diminish the signs of aging.

Dr Sebagh clinic is located in a gorgeous Grade 1 listed building at No 2 Queen Anne Street in Marylebone, designed by Robert Adam, the most prominent architect in Georgian Britain. Just when you enter, you already feel like you are in a special place. But enough about the beauty of the building and let’s dive into the Ultralift facial treatment.

Skin preparation

As it was my first time there, we started with a short consultation about my skin. We discussed my concerns, what we will do and how to treatment works. After that Isabella, the therapist, did the double clease of my skin to prep the skin. As a first step of the cleanse, Isabella used the Rose de Vie Cream Cleanser to remove the make up and pollution from the skin. This followed by the Foaming Cleanser, to ensure pores and all debris is cleansed from the skin.

Exfoliation

Next step was to use Deep exfoliating Mask containg lactic acid and azelaic acid. We used the one for sensitive skin to make sure my skin doesn’t get to irritated. The mask has antibacterial properties and buffs away dead skin cells. Before applying, Isabella mixed in some Pure Vitamin C Powder Cream for a potent pigmentation treatment to help with melasma. While massaging it into the skin we left it for almost 10 min.

Hydration

The second mask was the amazing Rose de Vie Hydrating Mask, which Isabella  was also continually massaging into the skin while also using the steamer for the pores to open a bit and absorb it. After that, my skin felt very soft and silky. I must say, my skin suddenly felt smooth, very hydrated and glowing.

Ultralift treatmet

Now finally main part of the treatment, which was the Ultralift treatment itself. It is also known as Glass Skin Facial and once I had it done myself, I understand why. Ultralift combines cutting-edge ultrasound technology which uses multifunctional high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) with a bespoke application of Dr Sebagh products. This stimulates skin rejuvenation by triggering the body’s natural process   of collagen synthesis.

So how does it work? Warm pulses of ultrasound enegry are delivered deep under the skin causing the muscle layer to contract. The heat then also encourages a natural process of rejuvenating and stimulate collagen production. Ultrasound waves are also capable of selectively imparing aged collagen, triggering the body’ natural healing response to further stimulate collagen production in specific area.

How does it feel? Isabella told me, that the feeling is very individual and while some can feel slight discomfort, some feel nothing at all. First we applied gell on the skin so that the machine mcan easily glide. The whole treatment was quite fast and didn’t hurt. I felt tiny little prickly sensation that was not painful at all, just slighty warm. On my cheeks, however I fell the prickly sensation a bit more, but it was incredibly fast so I didn’t mind at all.

Skin serums

After the Ultralift treatment, Isabella finished by applying combination of Dr Sebagh serums. Rose de Vie serum with organic, triple pressed rosehip oil and vitamin E to calm and sooth the skin. Repair serum with hyaluronic acid to plump the skin and Supreme Maintenance Youth Serum with peptides and anti-aging ingredience. We also mixed in again Pure Vitamin C Powder Cream.

Last step using Dr Sebagh creams

As a completely last step Isabella used Vital Cream, which is a very lightweight moisturiser, containing epidermal growth factors, Vit C and hydrolysed collagen. For my eyes we used Firming Eye Cream with anti-aging properties and for my neck we used Supreme Neck Lift Cream to help firming the skin in that area.

After – thoughts

In case you are wondering, I was asking few questions beforehand, which I believe you will also find useful.

Is is for everyone? Yes, anyone can have Ultralift treatment facial, but as usual, discuss with your practitioner any possible contratictions. However, there is no restriction on age or skin type.

How many sessions you need to see results after Ultralift treatment? You will see some results immediatellythough it takes few weeks to see full results, as the skin has a natural cycle to rejuvenate. It is recommended to have 2-3 sessions 6-8 weeks apart to see maximun results.

Does it hurt? As stated above, there is a tiny prickly sensation, but I would hardly call it pain or discomfort.

Do you need anaestetic cream before the Ultralift treatment? No, you really don’t there is no pain.

How long does it take? The Ultralift treatment itself takes about 20 min max for the face and upper part of the neck, but with the skin prep and 2 masks, my treatment was about 1 hour 20 min.

How much does it cost? It is better to speak to your practitioner, as prices can wary and I don’t want to be misleading, however be prepare to pay few hundred pounds.

Is it worth the money?  In my opinion, 100% worth the money. My skin feels so soft and silky still week after the treatment and the older you get, the harder it is to keep your skin looking plump, youthful and glowing. So I will definitelly be back for another round.Dr Sebagh clinic at Chandos House in central London
