At the time of writing this post, The outside temperature shows 10C. However it is June and call me a dreamer, but I believe that summer must come even to UK sooner or later. We already had few occasional days there and there but it was more of anomaly, or it seems. So you better stock up on some summer dresses. They are one of my favourite piece of clothing. Easy to wear, easy to match and easy to accessorise. You just need to find the right shoes and bag and you are good to go. Provided, it is really warm summer, that is.
Summer dresses I will be rotating this year
I think everyone has their favourite few pieces, even you, and you keep rotating them all summer. Well for me, there are three types of summer dresses I will be rotating this year a lot.
White summer dress
I love white clothes. Give me any type of white clothing (provided it is good quality) in any season of the year and I will be happy. White clothes just always look fresh, elegant and clean. They ten to brighten every person and make you look somehow in better mood. Don’t you agree? Well, with white summer dresses it is the same. They just look chic and elegant or cute, depend on their style. I have few white dresses and I love wearing them. And this summer won’t be any different. I love this one from last year, which you can still get. It is timeless classic for many summers ahead. My latest purchase is this one from Mango. It looks so elegant, especially with added belt and it is super easy to wear, day or night. White dress will always look good with denim jackets, like this one. Depend on the style, they will look good with simple sandals, like these or these (currently 60% off!).
Floral dress
Generally speaking, I am not much into bohemian, floral style of clothing however I rather like the dresses. They are effortlessly chic without looking too casual. They also look great in winter with boots. But in summer, I love wearing them with espadrilles and straw bag and hat. If the weather is not that worm, denim jacket over the dress looks just perfect. This summer H&M came up with very pretty bohemian capsule collection, which was a in style of Zimmerman and I got this simple floral dress, which I already wore many times.
Bright colour dress
Bright colour dresses are one of my favourites. The best dresses are the one which you can wear day to night, like this one or this one. The one I am wearing on the pictures is by BB Dakota and there are still couple of them left, but here you can find similar style. Bright colours look amazing in the summer, especially when you have a bit of a summer glow going on. You can wear them with flat sandals during the day and metallic high heels sandals in the evening. Add a clutch bag and statement earrings and you are good to go.
