One of the most iconic fashion moments when it comes to cinematography is definitely the movie Pretty Woman (right next to Devil Wears Prada). I will never forget when Julia Roberts went on her shopping spree down the Rodeo Drive. All her newly acquired clothes were amazing and truly quite ahead of its time. Most of it, we could easily wear now, like the Bermuda shorts. They are now very “IN” this season and in fact, you can read about them here. But we all remember her debut at the polo event in the brown polka dot dress and white hat. That time polka dot was very fashionable then and few decades later, we have it back again.
And maybe because of this movie, I fell in love with the polka dot dress I found here. I was quite reluctant to buy this one online, as it says pre-order. Apparently because of the very high demand. However I did order it and couldn’t be happier. The dress arrived exactly as promised and the size and design fits like a glove. It has asymmetrical hem which make the dress more interesting. The ruffle at the bottom makes a beautiful move when you walk and it really makes you feel like a pretty woman. It comes with a belt from the same fabric, but you could also wear your own. It will look great with white belt, if you have one.
I teamed this polka dot dress with white sandals from Alexander Wang and Chanel boy bag. Now, that the summer is really here, I am enjoying this dress quite often. It is perfect for day and night and when it is a bit chilly I put on white blazer. Normally, I am not a huge fan of brown colour, but this dress might change my mind.
