The perfect handbag for a weekend away

Going away for a longer weekend is a joy. Well most of the time anyway. Depend on where you live, of course. I live in Europe and therefore there are so many possibilities for very comfortable travels that are not that far. Most of European destinations I have within the 2 hours reach so the selection is always wide. However I have few places in my hart that always have the priority. One of those places is Madrid. If you read my blog regularly, you know I lived there for most that 4 four years and it always feels like home.

I went there just recently to attend my dear friend birthday celebration and I am happy i went. The party was great, full of amazing people, with both women and men dressed with an impeccable style. It made me very happy to be able to share this moment with my friend. Even though I was travelling for this some 1000 miles, it was well worth it.

Not only a special occasion is a good reason for the short travels. Here are my 3 reasons why I think long weekends are worth to take and you should enjoy them throughout the whole year.

3 reasons to take long weekends

  1. Recharge batteries. You don’t need to take many days off your work, but even 1 or 2 days extra will make wonders to your stress levels.
  2. You get out of your daily routine, shake thing up a little bit which will give you more energy and motivation when you come back home.
  3. Open your mind to new experiences. It is unlikely you will be able to climb a Mount Everest, but you there are so many other options what to do and new places to go for 3 or 4 days.

But what handbag do you pack for the longer weekend? I always have a dilemma about it. Hand luggage for me is almost impossible, so i gave up this ambition long time ago. However you probably want fairly small luggage, right? You want to take fairly small luggage, right?  Handbags always take so much space. So this time I chose my classic black Bottega Veneta. The leather is so buttery soft. The size is perfect throughout the whole day and the design is timeless. What is not to love? It is simply my perfect handbag for a weekend away.
