Have yourself a Merry little Christmas

Have yourself a Merry little Christmas

This is my last article of the year. It is the end of the year and I wanted to conclude by evaluating it. To summarise, it was one hell of a year. A lot of things have happened and all of them helped me to choose my direction for the next year. There were some amazing highlights. My daughter was born in January and I can’t believe she will soon be 1 year old! Time flies so fast! My second highlight is that I have started this blog, which I totally love doing. It has certainly been a journey, but I enjoy every minute of it. It is great to see that I have all of you coming here to read what I want to say. So a massive thank you for that. Finally, being on maternity leave gives me the chance to spend the time also with our older kid and keep creating the perfect home for my husband.

So I did an exception and this time I am posting pictures without a handbag. Well who wears a handbag at home, right? But as we are in the festive mood and Christmas is my favourite time of the year, I wanted to have very festive pictures. I must admit, I am not much into the Christmas jumpers (they just make you look big and shapeless) but I do love knits. And about that Christmas tree. Since I was a kid we always had the attitude of the bigger the better and certainly real (don’t you love the smell?).  Every year I am thinking to change the colour scheme, maybe burgundy or white, but every time end up with the silver and gold scheme. It is elegant and fits with our house. I can’t wait for the whole family to be together, enjoying great food and drinks (no, I am not diet), seeing kids being excited about the half eaten minced pie as a sign of Father Christmas and see the beautifully wrapped presents under the tree. It is all the magic that makes this time of the year so special.
