The summer is over, no discussion about that. Even though one can discuss if there was actually some summer in UK? Anyways, the beauty of the changing seasons is not only change in the colour of the trees (however stunning they can be) but also change in the wardrobe. I love when the knitwear season starts and I can get cosy and comfy. But even sweaters have trends and this year ones are truly lovely. So naturally this post is dedicated to the 4 best knitwear trends you simply can’t afford to miss.
Best knitwear trends 2017
Knit trend #1 – Red
Red colour is all over the place currently. Red is the colour of the season. You will find shoes, bags, trousers, tops, coats, jackets, basically anything wearable you will find in red colour. So clearly red sweater would be one of the hottest knitwear trends of the season. I got this beautiful red sweater from Massimo Dutti. It was limited collection, so I think it is now sold, however this sort of sweater you can find very easily. I have picked for you the best of the best here.
Bag: Chanel Classic Flap, Shoes: Christian Louboutin, Sweater: Massimo Dutti, Trousers: Topshop, Earrings: Chanel
Knit trend #2 – Off the shoulder
Off the shoulder. Another of the knitwear trends that I surprisingly quite like. The whole summer was about naked shoulder, so why not continue when the air gets chilly? This blush pink piece is from Zara and is super soft. The blush pink looks amazing and I love wearing it with these leggings types of trousers.
Bag: Chanel Classic Flap, Sweater: Zara, Trousers: Zara, Shoes: Gianvito Rossi
Knit trend #3 – Detail on the back
Open back with a detail trend is another one I fell in love with quite quickly. You need to make sure no bra is visible though at the back, it can look a bit cheap. But if you manage that, this trend gives you a bit of understated sexiness. This one is from Miss Selfridges and I believe you can also get it in grey (on ShopStyle). It is one of those pieces that is very easy to wear. Matches with pretty much everything and is comfortable and warm.
Bag: Chanel Boy, Jeans: Zara, Sweater: Miss Selfridges
Knit trend #4 – Pearls
Pearls. This year, pearls have a massive come back. But not as you know it, nice and clustered around one’s neck, but on everything else, coats, jeans, shoes and also sweaters. This grey number with pearls is also from Zara and is very warm. Well one can argue if the cropped sweater keeps you warm, but let’s see. It is just a start of the season. I love wearing it with long white shirt and black leggings trousers. In winter, I will change those to slim version with high boots.
Hope you are having lovely autumn
