What colours to wear with beige skirt.

What colours to wear with beige skirt.

I love skirts. However I find it difficult to find the ones that I feel comfortable in and want to wear them all the time. Also the styling is more difficult. When you wear a dress, you have the whole outfit ready. When you wear trousers, you can pretty much wear anything with them. But with a skirt?  I need to think more as for me the proportions of the figure are always the priority when choosing clothes. Generally higher waist suits me better. So I was excited to find this Elisabetta Franchi faux leather skirt. There is nothing I don’t like about it. The length, the colour, the shape and the design. Tick all the boxes of the perfect midi skirt. And it made me happy I can style it with so many different tops and shoes. Simple beige skirt is one of those things you can wear basically all day long, for most of the occasions. Be it in your office, having a day of shopping by yourself or meeting your friends. It is classic, simple and super easy to combine. Most of the colours look amazing when combine with beige however I have three absolute winners. Black, blue and white. So if you have a beige midi skirt, this is how you can style it for different occasions.

Beige skirt for dinner date

Beige is a very easy colour to match and with black it looks amazingly elegant. This black shirt by Diane von Furstenberg is my favourite as it is simple yet the golden edges gives very elegant feeling. I teamed it with classic Chanel flap handbag and black and beige Carolina Herrera heels. I love wearing this combination mainly in the evening, for a nice dinner date with my husband.

Beige skirt for lunch with friends

Another colour that looks amazing with beige is white or off white. It creates very polished and clean look. Two tones that are close together create perfect symbiosis.  So if neutrals are your thing, beige midi skirt and white top might be your winner for a lunch with your friends. I wore it with off white cashmere turtleneck sweater by John Lewis, Charlotte Olympia heels and beige Chanel boy bag in patent leather.

And how to wear beige skirt all day long

My third favourite combination with beige is blue. Blue and beige looks very chic and effortless. For me it is the every day, all day timeless combination for when you want to be a casually chic. I am wearing this Club Monaco off the shoulder shirt, pale blue Louis Vuitton Chain It bag and classic suede beige Gianvito Rossi heels, similar to these but in darker beige.

Indeed, it’s such a beautiful classic, and extremely versatile. My fave would be to pair it with another neutral, either black or white. And you look fab in both colors dear!
